The Mediterranean 54 is a high performance, modified deep-V convertible. It's designed to be as much at home tournament fishing on rough offshore water as it is serenely cruising foreign seas with the family. The design is a head-turner. The Mediterranean 54 is striking and sleek, with a rakish bow and a sweeping sheer. It is a beautiful example of well integrated naval architecture by W. Shad Turner. The extra large flybridge offers walk-around, sit-around space for more than ten adults. The console is large and ready for all the electronics possible to be flush-mounted. There is a bar and food serving counter ready to install, an optional sink, refrigerator and freezer, and an automatic icemaker. Lockable rod and reel storage is provided for up to 12 rods. The 180-square-foot cockpit will delight even the most sophisticated tournament fisherman. With a sculptured, molded-in bait and tackle center, a countertop cutting board, a sink with hot and cold water, and port and starboard 16-cubic-foot fish boxes, there's not much missing. There is also room for circulating bait wells, either at the aft end of the cockpit or forward in the cockpit, and a place for cockpit controls, neatly hidden away. There's direct access to the engine room from the cockpit. The 16-foot by 16-foot standup engine room is an outstanding illustration of attention to detail. The room is a mirror-smooth fiberglass engineered structure that incorporates fiberglass drip pans under the engines, fiberglass battery boxes with hinged and vented covers, full-length engine stringers, and molded-in separate sumps for the bilge pumps and shower drains. The standard soundproofing features a special mylar-faced sound barrier material both on top of and on the underside of the main salon sole. Special attention has been given to vibration-borne noise dampening. This coupled with large water-lift mufflers makes the Mediterranean 54 one of the quietest and smoothest vessels of her size afloat. All of the engine room machinery is easily accessible for maintenance, and the engines, equipment, wiring and plumbing installations are of the highest quality. The interior is a luxurious, comfortable refuge.. The main salon is open to receive a choice of sofas, tables, chairs, etc. The Interior has the galley up in the salon area to port and has three double staterooms and two heads. In addition it has a serving bar with three bar stools at the galley counter.
